This modest cape in Western New York is home to a growing family. We planned on relocating the kitchen, opening up the first floor, enlarging the bedrooms on the second floor, adding a second full bathroom, and finishing the basement for additional living space. The property slopes down for a walk-out basement, and there is a detached garage behind the house. We added a two-story back entry foyer for the family entrance with views looking out across the back property.
